Revolution Elite Track Series - Round 1

The forthcoming Revolution Series begins on 14/15/16 August at the Derby Arena and ends at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester. This season the Revolution Series increases to six rounds including Derby, Manchester, London and Glasgow.

Each round will feature an afternoon and evening session packed with action from leading male and female British and international cycling stars. There are three elements to each event throughout the season: Elite Championship, UCI-sanctioned competition, and HOY Future Stars (Under-16s).

The Elite Championship is the centrepiece of the Revolution Series race programme, running throughout the season. Six Elite Championship events are spread across each evening session at all venues. Last season, a thrilling contest saw Maloja Pushbikers take victory ahead of Orica-GreenEDGE.

Each round will be a UCI classified event with UCI points available for selected Championship races as well as the sprint races and elite women's endurance events. These points will go towards rider and team qualification for the UCI World Cups and World Championships.

Designed to develop the UK's brightest young cycling talent, the HOY Future Stars competition sees leading junior riders compete in a league across the season for boy's and girl's titles. Young riders hope to follow in the tracks of Steven Burke and Pete Kennaugh, previous Future Stars winners who have gone on to become Olympic champions.

Races will be split across the afternoon and evening session with the emphasis of the evening session on the Revolution Championship and HOY Future Stars.
